Want to head for the hills? Join our Mindful Mountain Hiking Program for the summer and early autumn. Here’s your opportunity to do day hikes in Kananaskis Country and the Rockies accompanied by ACMG hiking guides Debbie Maclean and Peter Tucker. The pace of these hikes is designed to enable everyone to achieve the destination and enjoy the outing while keeping personal safety paramount. Here’s how to participate:

STEP 2 – Complete the Par-Q+ Form
This form is required by Wellspring to participate in certain programs. The form must be on file at Wellspring Calgary before you can register for any hike. Forms can be downloaded from our Forms page.
STEP 3 – Register for a Specific Hike
Registration for the hikes opens four (4) weeks before each hike. Register online using our Online Registration Program or by calling Wellspring at (403) 521-5292. Please register for 1 hike per month ONLY.
If you did not get into a hike, you can register for the “Mindful Mountain Hiking – Waitlist” on GameTime. Once you have been on a hike, your name will be removed from the waitlist. Please remember that you could be called up until the night before a hike if a spot should become available. Make sure that you have a valid Par-Q+ form on file with us.
Par-Q+ form must be on file at Wellspring Calgary in order to be confirmed for a hike. Please read directions for registration, as well as the other documents provided in our website links.
STEP 4 – Go Hiking!
Meet the facilitators at the appointed place and time. There you will sign the ACMG waiver and leave for your amazing day in the mountains.
Important: Please inform Wellspring as soon as possible if you are not able to make a hike you have signed up for. This will allow someone on the waiting list to participate.
