Make Yourself at Home
Wellspring Calgary staff and volunteers are privileged to welcome you to a place our members often call home. In fact, we hope our centres feel like a second home; a place that is warm, welcoming, comfortable and safe.
“For me, one of the most important things about Wellspring is that it has always operated in non-hospital settings. Those of us living with cancer spend much of our lives as patients, or supporting someone we love as they wait, endure treatment, wait some more, recover, struggle…all the complicated things that go along with being a patient. It is intensely liberating to step out of that medical role to paint, dance, drum, meditate, talk, ride, write, read and watch films together. Wellspring is about living with cancer not only as patients, and not always as patients. It is all about life. People at Wellspring understand that living with disease is all about living in its most intense, most immense aspects. It’s emotional and spiritual. It’s living that craves companionship, laughter, shared tears and the silence of the heart. And I have found these gifts at Wellspring.”

Have a Look Around
Visit or call either Wellspring Calgary location to learn about our programs and resources. You will be greeted by a trained volunteer who is available to give you a tour. You can also meet with a Peer Support volunteer who has experienced cancer or has been a primary caregiver and is trained to provide confidential support and practical strategies to help you navigate cancer via Wellspring programs.
If you are living with cancer, or you are a primary caregiver we hope you will choose to become a member. If you do, all you need to do is fill out a form and you are free to sign up for any available Wellspring program. There is no cost for membership or programs and no referral is necessary.
